Levels of Care
Overview
Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all. Different stages require different levels of support. Pioneer Point offers a continuum of care that meets men where they are and supports them as they transition back to daily life.
Our levels of care include detox coordination, residential treatment, and aftercare and alumni support.
Detox Coordination
Detoxification is the first step for men who are physically dependent on alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, or other substances. Withdrawal can be dangerous without medical supervision, and safety always comes first.
Pioneer Point coordinates detox with trusted medical partners offsite. Before admission, our team works with you to arrange safe, medically supervised detox so your loved one can stabilize before beginning residential treatment.
Once detox is complete, men transition directly into our program. From there, our medical director and onsite nursing staff oversee ongoing health needs, medication management, and continued monitoring throughout treatment.
You’ll never have to figure out this step alone. We handle the coordination, communicate with the detox facility, and keep you informed from the first call to the day he arrives at Pioneer Point.
Residential Treatment
Residential treatment is the core of our program. Men live on-site for 30 to 90 days and participate in intensive daily therapy, group sessions, 12-step work, life skills training, and nature-based activities.
This level of care is best for men who need structure, safety, and time away from triggers to focus fully on recovery. It’s immersive, trauma-informed, and designed to address the root causes of addiction, not just the behavior.
What Residential Includes:
Individual therapy using EMDR, IFS, CBT, and other evidence-based methods. Group therapy focused on trauma, addiction, and peer support. 12-step immersion with step work and meeting attendance. Life skills training covering stress management, routine-building, communication, and financial basics. Family involvement through scheduled updates, therapy sessions, and education. Nature-based work near Lake Tenkiller. Medication management if needed. 24/7 support and supervision.
Men leave residential treatment with tools, skills, and a clear plan for continuing recovery at home.
Aftercare and Alumni Support
Recovery doesn’t end at discharge. Aftercare is what helps men stay sober once they return to daily life.
Pioneer Point provides step-down planning before discharge, sober living referrals if needed, outpatient therapy connections in your area, ongoing 12-step meeting support, alumni programming including check-ins and peer connection, family aftercare resources, and access to our team for questions or support.
We stay connected because we know the first 90 days after treatment are critical. Men need ongoing accountability, community, and access to support when challenges come up.
What Alumni Programming Includes:
Monthly alumni calls or meetups. Annual alumni retreat near Lake Tenkiller. Peer mentorship opportunities. Access to our online alumni community. Ongoing family support resources.
The goal is to build a community that lasts beyond the program and reminds men they’re not alone.
