Pioneer point Family Program
Recovery isn’t just about the person in treatment. It’s about the whole family. We include you from day one.
Why Family Involvement Matters
No one gets sick by themselves and no one recovers by themselves either.
Family involvement is critical to the recovery process. Often times, families will react to the situation, not knowing how to respond. Thus, ending up where they don’t want to be. Well intended and desperate, many family members compromise themselves in a number of ways.
At Pioneer Point, we believe that when we treat the entire family, the family heals.
What Our Family Program Includes
Family Education
At Pioneer Point, one of the pillars of recovery is FAMILY.
Scheduled Family Updates
Families receive regular updates from the clinical team as treatment progresses. They are appraised as to progress, potential challenges in treatment as well as discharge planning.
Family Therapy Sessions
Family Therapy Intensives are available with the clinical staff and are scheduled accordingly. These Intensives are geared to rebuild trust, establish effective communication and regain connection.
Discharge Planning Involvement
Just beyond the admissions process the clinical team will begin to develop a discharge plan that includes aftercare planning. Family input and support is critical to long- term sobriety.
Ongoing Support
After discharge, families have access to our alumni programming, referrals to family support groups like Al-Anon, and resources for continuing education.
What You'll Learn
is unlike any other. Not only will the families learn how to support their loved ones in recovery, each family will gain important insight into the origin or the disease. Effective communication techniques, role performance expectations and problem solving skills will be offered. Hopefully the workshop will culminate in learning new ways to see the challenges and each other.
Common Family Concerns
“Will I be blamed for his addiction?”
No. Our family program isn’t about blame. It’s about understanding family patterns, setting boundaries, and supporting recovery in healthy ways.
“What if he doesn’t want me involved?”
We encourage men to include their families, but we respect each person’s pace. If your loved one isn’t ready for family sessions right away, we’ll work toward that goal over time.
“How much time does the family program require?”
Family sessions are scheduled around your availability. Most families participate in 2 to 4 sessions during residential treatment, plus educational calls or webinars.
“What if I can’t travel to Oklahoma?”
Many family sessions can be done by phone or video. We make it as accessible as possible.
